What this evaluation covers

This assessment reviews a logo redesign in terms of vector artwork and file delivery. It separates what can be verified from file structure and documented usage from assumptions about editable paths or permission to modify the mark.

What a usable vector logo file must provide

A practical vector logo package should contain the primary mark in a format that supports resolution-independent scaling, such as EPS, AI, SVG, or PDF. Supporting formats may include transparent PNG previews for quick placement and one or more color variants for light, dark, and single-color reproduction.

Does the filename prove editable paths?

No. A file with an .svg, .ai, or .eps extension does not by itself prove that the artwork contains editable vector paths. A preview raster image can be placed inside a container format. Editable artwork must be confirmed by opening the file and checking for paths, strokes, text, and grouped objects that can be selected and modified.

Downloading is not the same as permission

Finding or downloading a logo file does not grant permission to modify the artwork, embed its fonts, or use its trademarks. Permission to access a file is separate from a license to reproduce, adapt, or redistribute the mark. Fonts included in a vector logo should also be converted to outlines only when the delivered specification requires it, and the right to make that conversion should be confirmed.

What to check in a believable redesign

  • One clear primary version and consistent secondary versions.
  • A single shape system repeated across lettering and icon, not a loose collection of mixed forms.
  • Color values that remain readable at reduced size.
  • Sufficient spacing around the mark so it does not touch other content.
  • Delivered files that match the stated formats and color spaces.

Typical vectors to address in a redesign

Priority | Item | Practical issue
High | Icon and wordmark shape | Check that curves remain smooth at large scale
High | Stroke widths | Check minimum thickness at small reproduction
Medium | Color variants | Verify solid, reversed, and spot-color versions
Medium | Fonts | Confirm outlined text or bundled font license
High | File inventory | Confirm vector masters and required previews are present

What cannot be verified here

This assessment does not confirm a specific official X Games asset, its exact geometry, its embedded fonts, or its permitted use. No testing or measurement was performed, and no source file was inspected. Those details require direct access to the delivered artwork and the applicable license.

Practical check for designers and buyers

Before accepting a vector logo file, open it in a vector editor and verify that the shapes are editable, there is no background image, all text is either editable or intentionally outlined, and the color variants match the specification. If any required format is missing, request it before use rather than converting an unlicensed preview.
